Let's be honest here. Molten Core and Onyxia is a mere few hours of content per week. That is roughly how long they will take to clear. I know that they were in the game at launch, but the reality is that nobody cleared them until months after. This was largely, because so many players were new to MMOs and to the game itself. Players took more time leveling, exploring, and immersing themselves in the world.It won't be the same this time. There is now this added pressure to rush to 60 in order to begin farming raid gear. I think that that mentality is hard to resist for some, but ultimately hurts the game. World of Warcraft was about more than just farming raid gear. I think more players feel the need to rush through the leveling process this time around. The argument against delaying the raid content, is that players would have less to do once they reach level 60. However, the raids only offer a few hours of content, and Phase 1 now encourages players to rush into them. Right

I'm hanging for classic. I'm super psyched. Yet recently when I tried to log onto beta just to poke around it disconnected my retail account saying I was logged in elsewhere.Obviously you can only have one instance of retail OR classic at time. Is this going to bother anyone else? I mean maybe I could fish in retail while questing in classic or vice versa. I was wondering since I’m thinking about rejoining the game.If I do rejoin in classic will I be able to transfer servers from classic to retail? (Main concern)The main reason being perfecting professions and being more fluid in the game than WoD. Which was when I left and it was super fun.My main problem with the game was content that was almost unattainable. Content like pets and mounts I would like to earn.But I can deal with that problem later.I don’t mean making anything easier. I know many items in the game take a long time to attain but it became very frustrating the very small percentage of drops for things like mounts, pets, and gear. Gear being the least worry.There is so many things like achievements that some can’t be done with out requirements.Is there a better way besides wowiki that I can use to enjoy my experience moreMy goal is to make he characters I want to make with a cap and then enjoy them with the boosts on another server after enjoying raids and pvp and the like

Disclaimer: Before we look into this, know that some of this is conjecture as I am not affiliated with Blizzard in any way. I so have some level of experience and understanding of the game development process, though. When it comes to future expansions, while I am basically 99% about that "#NoChanges" life (I did like the 16 debuff slot for example however), I am all sorts of on board if a minor reworking were to be done more in line with vanilla ideals, and keep its original content/appeal. Do any of you have fond memories of the rank 14 player on your server? Mine was an enhancement shaman who was unstoppable. Every time he'd ride into battle enemies would cower and flee and all our ranks would follow his lead to victory. He single handily carried me to my first ever Arathi Basin win. Ill never forget Thex and what he did for me, and my server. I hope ill run across him somehow in classic wow.

Title says it all. Feel free to only hint at secret methods or locations.At endgame, my main will be a holy priest and I'll be leveling a rogue with fishing, cooking, herb + alchemy that will do most of my gold production and mat-grinding purposes. My rogue will also do a lot of instance grinding / chest farming / pickpocketing runs once I get that character to the mid/upper 30s and can start farming SM:GY chests and rare mobs. My priest will go the very traditional enchanting / tailoring so there will be bags to sell but those professions are mostly for my own benefit.At low levels I do plan to grind for Savory Deviate Delight recipe ASAP. I also have a plan I'm keeping to myself to take the pressure off of training and gear needs at low levels involving alts and some serious corpse runs to get them where they need to be.

I don't know how to do the "twitch plays" things like people have done in the past, but I think it would be really interesting to have a "Twitch Plays Classic WoW" stream if someone wanted to set it up.Someone would have to be there to set up the keybindings for new skills or have some sort of addon that automatically puts the skills onto the bar, but other than that, the main things that you can do like tab-target, cast spells and abilities, move, etc are all things that can be done by chat. I believe even talking to npcs can be done as people have played classic with a controller before, although idk if that requires an additional addon or not.It's just a thought. I'd be interested to see if they could make it to 60. Would be really funny if a guild brought them in for a raid, too.

VENTING, apologies.So I did not take any vacation in June or July and decided to take 3 days off before Labor Day (so I would have Wednesday-Monday off). I asked for the 3 days off fully planning on only playing WoW and being involved with the launch and everything. I have over 30 days saved up of vacation and this is the slowest part of the year for my position. I even rearranged my living room last week to make a gaming space.My boss: "I am denying all vacation request until at least the end of September".REALLY? You couldn't have told anyone about your plan to deny vacation until I requested it? There is no business reason that I need to be at work on those dates. So now I must wait until October, my busiest time of the year, and you damn bet I am asking for a full week off. I will have close to 40 vacation days at that point and she will damn well approve it or I'll be headed to HR.

Getting home from school and farming supplies so that your server could advance was awesome. So, as a long-time PvP player, I occasionally dabble in raiding in WoW, mostly as a moocher due to a friend who has a guild that attempts to do Mythic. I'll hop in and do all of Normal when the raid comes out, and then a bit of Heroic, and almost none of Mythic.Every now and then I try to do LFR, whether it be on an alt, or for stupid overpowered items like Crucible of Storms had...In the last month, I was playing Final Fantasy XIV, and I was doing their equivalent of LFR, "Duty Finder Normal Raids", which for this expansion each Raid is just a 10 minute long boss encounter...And holy shit what a difference. People all communicate, people all listen, people TRY to do the mechanics. Mind you, FFXIV's raids are only 10 man, so it is easier to coordinate, but the fact remains that people TRY to do a good job. People TRY to succeed.This is so strange to me, because I 100% believed that Duty Finder raids in FFXIV were going to be LFR pain all over again, but this is not e

Hey guys I'm going to be trying for realm first 60 but I've been very indecisive about my race choice for weeks now.So I did some testing 1-20 and Night elf seems to be the fastest for me.The way I'm seeing it is that alliance is faster 1-30 and horde gets better after 30. I leveled quite a bit of characters throughout the years but never really kept track of things like that before. Only started testing speedrun stuff in the past several months and I haven't tested anything past level 20What do you think? Please solidify your answer.

So as far as i see there are a lot of Druid specs at lvl 60. The 2 i am interested the most in are the HOTW/NS spec and the Moonglow/Resto spec. My question is now, which one is more suited to my plan on playing PvP with my Friends, but still be able to go in Dunegons and Raids from time to time? Will the HOTW/NS give me enough healing for Raids/Dunegons and is the Moonglow/resto spec good in PvP?

Anyone who has taken time off from work worried the servers will be mayhem the first few days? Disconnects, queues, roll backs, etc. I'm thinking about using a day, but may play it safe and take the Monday after launch off...

Hello,I was wondering if it would be possible to make a dynamic macro for 3s. The macro would cast shadowstep + kick on the player that is not my target, and also not my focus. So for example if I'm vs RMP and the priest is my focus and the rogue is my target, then the mage casts poly, if I press the macro it should step + kick the mage. Hi folks, maybe the wrong place to post this, however, it's worth a try.I live in edinburgh scotland. I recently started a Nightshift job where most of my time is my own during the shift (not much to do). I have an older but decent enough laptop, I have upgraded my data allowance on my phone to 50gb a month (research shows this should be more than enough for playtime on my 2-3 shifts a week).My issue seems to be that my laptop seems to get disconnects from my phone's (pixel 3) hotspot quite frequently. Hey everyone, i'm brand new to the classic experience and am looking for tips and general info about the game going forward.Back when Vanilla was the new hotness I was playing FFXI and so missed out of the epicness that was WoW. I actually found some old screenshots from about 15 years ago off FFXI.Because I'm new i'm struggling to pick a class and wonder if the leveling and end game experience is more fun for Priest or Druid. I really wana heal and heard that priest is the best but also heard that Druid can heal just as well and even off tank pretty well for variation.I've also heard that Blizz may not be listening to players recently because there might not be RP-PVP servers. I love RP and PVP so it'd suck not to be able to do this. Also Blizz is implementing layering on servers which players can abuse. Can't say i like that.
