Classic [Question] When can I start doing mythic+ dungeons?

I am new to wow, but I just hit lvl 120 and am ilvl 305. I want to get better gear to do warfronts and other end game content. Should I be running normal dungeons? Or should I be joining in on mythic+? If the answer is mythic+, what do I need to know before I jump on in?PS.
