Vanilla wow

I’ve done some poking around online to find server populations, but would like to get an opinion here as well. I’m looking to start a fresh vanilla (non-tbc/wotlk) character on Alliance.What would be the best realm to pick if I’d actually want to do leveling content? Which would be the best pvp realm and which the best pve?I played wow back during the original vanilla, as well as returned but never capped for classic. Nostalgia is calling me back again, but leveling is my favorite part about classic and I’m hoping to find as active of a server as possible.

There's been a fair bit of talk about going back to Vanilla in another Season of Mastery, and to be honest I'd be pretty excited for that too, but I've also been thinking about what happens after Wrath has run it's course and we start toward the expansions that began the WoW2 era.It's generally agreed that of the OG three eras of WoW, TBC was the least liked compared to Vanilla and Wrath, and private server popularity backs up that claim. But what about it was truly the problem, and what could be fixed if they ever relaunch it?Personally I hated group limited buffs the most. Perhaps it's my personal bias as someone who was a guild officer during TBCC, but it felt like they just added the most drama, especially when you had to decide which DPS got put in the multi-lust groups. If I refer more than 1 friend, let's say I refer 2, do I get 2 months of rewards each month? So let's say, the first month of 2 referred friends, I get month 1 and 2's rewards, then the next month I get month 3 and 4 at once, and so on? I have a question regarding the first adds the water elementals. Is there anything you can do to mitigate the dmg except defensive cd? I play healer and I feel those hurt more than anything else. Hello -I'm a big fan of grid2 and have it heavily customized. I'm struggling with two indicators:1) Adding some indicator of threat to the healing grid. Ideally, I'd like to see a tile border flash and turn red when a DPS/non-tank hits 80% threat, but I can't find any way to add a threat indicator reliably to the grid.2) When adding %mana text via a custom indicator, the indicator doesn't show up on all mana classes. It's always on my own tile, but seems to only show up randomly on other players tiles.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

If you end up with a bunch of items from your tradeskills, like a lvl 32 agility ring, do a /who hunter 31-35 and mail them out to randosAdds a lot more good into the world than if you would otherwise vendor them :D

I understand that Elemental Shaman scaling *is* bad, but when I look at the talents and tools, I can't for the life of me see why that would be so.Concussion, Call of Flame, Storm, Earth, and Fire, Booming Echoes, Elemental Oath, Lava Flows, and Shamanism all increase the value of Spell Power, which should scale very well.Elemental Fury makes sure Crit stays valuable and scales well.It seems like the only thing missing is Haste value on Flame Shock's DoT and Fire totems, which you'll be using Totem of Wrath most of the time anyway so that issue is minimal.The tools are all there... so where is the problem?The only thing I can imagine would be the spell damage coefficients are too low to keep up with other classes. Is that the problem? Shaman spells are too weak on their face? Or is something else going on that I don't see?

I’ve played since original vanilla but never was a raider. I think the only ones I ever did were Kara, ICC after all the nerfs (and couldn’t get past Putricide), and emerald nightmare. Raiding just was never my thing.Now I’m getting into it though and and am really digging Naxx and OS, but according to this sub that’s not representative of anything else we’ll be running into this expansion.So is Ulduar just going to be stupid, stupid hard for me, do you think? Am I spoiled? People are acting like it’s an entirely different game and I’m afraid I’m gonna suck hard.Logs, if that helps, but I’ve also gathered from this sub that logs are irrelevant for healers . Anyone else’s server participation at abysmally low numbers? Literally like 2-3 people at a time looking for arena partners on a locked mega server, and they’re usually alts looking for YOLO games. I spend more time looking for 1600+ or even 1500+ partners in discord and LFG at than I do in the actual game.The entire concept of gear being gatekeeped is incredibly stupid and leads to the better players getting better gear, distancing the gap between the have-nots who end up just quitting arena entirely

I currently run a 50% keyboard and have wondered if that will be good enough or if the lack of excess keys will result in not being able to have as many shortcuts to abilities and items. So I've run into a few people who join groups for keys and will abandon right after starting or a few pulls in. Sometimes it's because of a mistake in a pull that they flip out on, sometimes the reason is just completely unknown.But in order to report a player for sabotage, you have to target the player and report them. So if they sneak out of the dungeon or hearth out of sight of others and then leave the party, there is no way to report them. Even if there is chat, if you right click their name and select "Report Player" it will not give that option.
