Classic How WoW's music has changed (for the worse)
Something odd has been happening over the last few years with respect to the music of wow. Since shadowlands, and perhaps most of BFA, there has been a definite, almost systematic shift in style of music composition and production.From classic to BFA, wow's music was heavily characterized by distinguishable and often elaborate melodic motifs, but as I will explain, this has given way to palette of sound almost entirely driven by meandering ambiance.Giving examples of wow's rich history of melodic motif is tough because there are just so many of them, and I will only be able to list a few to keep this post from being a true essay.Firstly, with respect to classic, I present the music of Elwynn forest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW4fASDkQXA&list=PLdSUTU0oamrzflitm5wLvphEMVbsZwt7L. Chat banned people ruins a groups they are in.
If you get chat banned, whatever group you go inside will not be able to use the group finder tool in classic.Why is that? I can understand punish the player that for whatever they feel that player commited, but why should that extend to anyone that willingly decided to invite that person to a group.Chances are if you are chat restricted and you are still playing you are problaby going a low profile to keep it from happening again, but doing that only frustrates the player.You just blocked any kind of activity for that player to do. If you play on retail, you can at least queue for dungeon finder and raid finder.So why people who actively wanted you in, despite your restriction, will have to remove you from group everytime they need to fill a spot and invite you back in, people who problaby knows about the ban since you can only interact with guildies and friends, not to mentions it's impossible to pug yourself and raid with that restriction. So what's the difference here? Why

Missing Feat of Strength - Season of Mastery - CS tells me there's no way of tracking it?
I did a deathless 60 run on SoM, as I heard about the *closure of the realms and I wanted to get the Feat of Strength done. So I did, then logged over onto Wrath and didn't get the feat. Thought it might take time to update, next day - still nothing. Wrote a ticket. Waited for 4 days. Got a response in English(this will be relevant later), telling me that there is "too much traffic, wanna try these options instead?" and they auto-closed my ticket.I re-opened it, asked them to either check in on it or hand out the feat. Can someone explain to me how parses work?
I think I get the general gist. I have the client (albeit when I clicked 'go' for live log i dont think it actually recorded anything because nothing was recorded for my naxx25) but I am not really sure how it works still. People can see your 'parses' when they look you up, right? But its only parses you record, or others?
I feel like the lack of low level RDF (10-79) makes picking up roles like tanking come endgame much harder
The easiest way I have found to learn to tank is to specifically play tank from the low level and do the dungeon finder thing. Pretty certain for most of my tank toons in retail in the past I have leveled via the RDF. I have been playing a pally and now im starting to approach 80 and now (due also to a number of toxic attitudes) I feel nervous to pick up that role, I dont feel like I have had that massive amount of practice and build up to endgame that I had previously. Not saying its impossible by any stretch but I certainly preferred the playstyle of dungeon spamming and learning that way (and yes, ive been in the group finder for the last 45mins and we cant find a healer).
How the damage is calculated with spell power and + spell damage in gear + skill tree
Lets suppose that my shadow bolt deals 200 damage If I add a gear with +10 shadow damage, another gear with +15, and max shadow mastery(+10%), will the percentage applies before or after the damage? Eg : Will be1,10 * (200+10+15)Or :(200*1,1)+10+15And what about DoTs, how I can calculate the damage per tik? Will each + shadow damage applies to every single tik or only in the total damage?

Classic I've gotta admit, I'd pay extra to increase drop rates by a significant amount.
I don't have the time, desire, or patience to farm forever for everything I want in this game. I really wish I could just pay an extra $5/mo to double drop rates, rep gains, and other stuff like that. In fact, I'd pay for it multiple times. Add $20/mo for a 400% increase? Classic I’ve narrowed it down to two choices.
I’ve dwindled it down to two choices for my main in DF. Those choices are Demon hunter and Evoker. Both dps first options then their other spec respectfully. Anyone have any informative pros in cons to these two choices. I plan on playing both eventually. I’m just wondering if there would be any plus in playing one before the other. Yes I get play whichever you have the most fun on, but truthfully it’s dead even for me. That’s why I’m making the post. Any feed back, any opinions. Welcome. As a ret pally, should I need on gear with agi and attack power but no str?
I know everyone says str is king for ret pally, but as I understand it, str really just translates to 2.2x attack power.So if, for example, I have a current piece with (numbers pulled out of my ass here) 50str (110ap) and a new piece drops that has 130ap, should I roll on that piece?What is it's leather or chain?

Has the spriest hype ended?
At the start of WoTLK everyone was looking for shadow priests (probably because they MC on razuvious and because they're low-ish dps so people don't want to play it). My 3rd character (I don't guild raid the first two) is a shadow priest now but I'm not getting into a guild and there's an occasional whisper for 25man but I don't want to pug and the whispers come at an inconvenient time most of the time anyway.When I message a guild on discord I get full on ignored, even when their recruitment message says they're looking for a shadow priest.Any of you have any experience finding a guild as shadow priest?

Restoring deleted character with same name
Is there anyway to restore a deleted character that has the same name as the character that replaced it ages ago and is now at 80?All I can think of to keep the 80 with its name is: delete the 80, restore the low level character and pay for a name change, but then I’d have to wait 7 days to restore the 80 again.Anyone know of any other ways to solve the issue?
Struggling to understand the current reserving climate on classic WOTLK
Bit of background - I am a fairly new wow classic player, started just 3 weeks before WOTLK. I used to play BC/WOTLK/Cata back in retail.I was either too young to understand, or didn’t pay attention. But I really don’t remember all the reserving being as intense as it is now.Every raid has multiple Hard Reserves, multiple Soft Reserves, 5 minute reserve windows..What happened to just raiding and rolling if you need the item?Is it a case of WOW classic players are more BiS orientated so reserving items in raids became more prevalent to ensure a more likely change of getting BiS items?I’m not against this system, just trying to understand it better.
