Classic As a prot warrior I always have trouble holding threat from DH and Pally. What am I doing wrong?

Im 475 and I’m fine with anyone my own item level but once I go five item levels above me, they pull threat so easily and somehow I struggle to hold it, often. I actively need to ask them not to unload or they’ll tank and likely die. With every other class five levels above me I literally never use my taunt button. Are they just super front loaded dps or am I missing something here?
