Classic Gameplay content vs. Rewards
In dragonflight the developpers have been showering us with participation rewards and mog for kind of boring/worthless gameplay like digging dirt, doing world quests, etc. Then we got the traveller's log and we also just get free high quality goodies for logging in and spending 2 hours on filling it. It does feel a little like a mobile game at some point, if you don't do the big 3 content.But what about gameplay? In Legion we got the mage tower. In BFA island expeditions and Visions. In shadowlands thorghast. This content is awesome, but it got ruined by the fact that you had to do it weekly or fall behind by a lot. (Excluding mage tower). Why doesn't blizzard give us content like this anymore and just put a lot of the mog rewards there and an alternative power progression that isn't mandatory for raiders? Dragon racing is good, but there are barely any rewards tied to it and the flying talent tree progression with glyphs is not really engaging enough in itself. Should they bring challenging (solo?)
