Classic Should I get Dragonflight?

Hello! I am considering coming back to retail after a pretty long hiatus, I started back in cata and played through BFA, with legión probably being my favorite xpac so far. Since then I’ve been playing classic and wrath classic, and a lot of the hardcore mode they added to classic. I saw recently DF was on sale and thought of giving it a try, I am missing some of the faster paced elements of retail and if I remembered correctly DF launched yo pretty decent praise. I was curious if someone could give me there opinion on the games current state, population endgame gameplay etc. and If they believe DF lives up to the hype and is worth a try. All answers welcome!
