An entire guild of multiboxers who were trying to do it while staying within the rules just got perma-banned on Classic Era NA.

There were 5 of us in the guild, all multiboxing either 5 or 10 toons. We were all doing it manually, i.e. without the use of any kind of third party software to mirror inputs. We were all doing it very openly, without trying to hide our multiboxing and while trying to stay within the EULA.You guys know I multibox manually, I've posted clips of my gameplay on this subreddit before, asking if this was against the rules, and you all mostly agreed that the way I was doing it was not against the rules.But it didn't matter. Here's the automated email I got for all 10 of my WoW accounts at the exact same time yesterday. My guild mates also all received the same email over the course of yesterday and today. I suspect that we all got automatically banned due to mass reports from ignorant people who think we were botting.We have all appealed but we don't have much hope.This was just a passion project. We are passionate about PvE multiboxing and wanted to see how far we could take it with a raid of multiboxers. We returned to Classic Era just for the sake of this project that we spent hours theorycrafting for, and we had big plans to attempt MC in a month or two. We don't even do PvP or attempt to harass people in any way, shape or form. But again, it didn't matter.This is the end of the road for our guild, and I know many of you will be happy with that, so be it. I just wanted to publicly express my discontent towards the company that I've supported for the last 20 years. We will take our collective 40-sub/month money somewhere else, to a company that actually treats its playerbase with dignity and respect.
