Classic Which professions on main character?

I have 6 characters 1 main and 5 alts. The alts are there merely for getting all professions nothing else. I was wondering if it was worth it having mining and herb on my main since i will be spending almost all my time on there anyways (plus the skinning alt). Or if its worth having two crafting professions on my main and just divide up more time for gathering.
