Classic Can Hungering Devourer be defeated with 1-2 people?

I'm a brewmaster (389 ilvl), and I was able to solo the first two bosses of Nathria (N) easily, but I seem hardstuck on hungering devourer. I had my frost mage friend try to help me, but same problem - we get it to about 50% then I just get overcome by the inability to self heal. I was wondering if anyone on any spec had been able to beat it through a combination of defensives and kiting, or if he's pretty much group only at this point. via /r/wow https://ift.tt/qIMn32F
