Is smithing useful later in wrath?

So in my guild for wrath classic I'm going to be a blood dk tank/frost dps offspec when im not needed, at first I thought I was going to use JC and Engineering as my main professions for my tanking but I recently realized that the paladin tank and the warrior dps are doing the same, and this leaves us with no dedicated guild Blacksmith.Now I am actually wondering if any of the purple titansteel gear is useful later on? or are we alright just leaving it alone? If it is something we could use I would definitely grab it.
