Classic Is it worth coming back to the game right now in its current state? What is there do with the expansion coming to a close?

Been unsure of coming back to the game. I've got an oldish gaming laptop and am looking to upgrade in the near future - 3-4 months. However till am looking at games to keep me distracted during my off time and am wondering if WoW in its current state is worth coming back to?What is currently there to do in the game outside of raiding?
