Classic Reported for advertising Oathkeepers Helm?

So I’m not new to WoW, been playing since Cata, but just now got into gold making recently. I made the oathkeepers helm on my main and sent it to my auction house alt to post it and after advertising the sale on my AH toon, someone called me a scammer and tried to get everyone to report me even though the item itself was in the AH. I just wanted to get some veterans opinions on this, was what I did sketchy or was that guy uncalled for reporting me?
