Classic Need some taskbar management help

Why do my applications open up as duplicates, instead of just opening where I pinned them to my taskbar on windows?https://ift.tt/BiLSwUo instance, why are there two curseforge apps instead of it just having the white bar under the one where i pinned it, instead it opens up a duplicate icon? same for battlenet app??
