Is it hard to get a spot in tbc guild as ret? Thinking about rerolling

I play warlock because I love the theme but it's pure masochism and I just watch movies while raiding.I was thinking about rolling ret paladin but it seems like every guild needs only one. Did anyone here come late to tbc as ret and made it into MH/BT? What should I expect?
