Classic Keep the Legion Timewalking permanently

Player engagement is necessary to keep the game profitable. And I get it - there’s no better way to keep people in a hamster wheel than with incessant grinding. But when you’re releasing entire expansions that felt like they never left the beta (BFA/SL), then it really feels like these systems were created not to make gameplay interesting but instead to compensate for the lack of interesting gameplay and content.I’m not sure where the design team is going for Blizzard or what the vision is. But I’m starting to feel extremely fed up with Blizzard trying to keep players engaged through boring, player-power tied grinds (Breath of the Dying, Pathfinder, Tier 3 artifacts) instead of keeping players engaged through interesting game content. Compared to many of its competitors—MMO or otherwise—World of Warcraft simply doesn’t keep up with adding new content, balances or tweaks being few and far between. Players are turning to games like FF14 or Path of Exile because they are not throwing their old content under the bus and there’s always something to do. FF14 you can just play, however you want to play, whenever you want to play, without any negative consequence, there’s no reason WoW can’t have something similar as well. There should be timewalking every week and just rotate through the past expansions. I mean, we’ve got enough timewalking tuned dungeons now, right, with Legion being added. The fact that if you miss one week of legion timewalking, you have to wait 4.5 months to play it again, is terrifying. While you’re at it, make M+ versions of all timewalking dungeons, like with Legion timewalking. Make Timewalking a permanent feature in the group finder queue, put in a daily reward for the first random Timewalking you do with the group finder, with an actual valuable currency reward, not just the same timewarped badges, make it a token that can be traded X amount of any currencies. SO many players would do one Timewalking a day if they could slowly target currencies for other content they don't wanna do. People would be encouraged to join the Timewalking queue, so they could choose what they want to progress on, be it current content, or ANYTHING from the huge backlog catalog of content that Blizz seems to refuse to draw from. Player engagement would go through the roof. You’ve got 15+ years of past dungeon content that can be brought up to speed as current content through timewalking and mythic timewalking. It would be insane not to. Please don’t let this be another project you start and never really finish like heritage armor or allied races. We want to play your game Blizzard, Shadowlands launch clearly showed that. The amount of players being back was staggering and they all left because of the lack of content mostly along with the community not being listened to about how bad some systems were.We want to play your game Blizzard, please let us do so. via /r/wow https://ift.tt/3Hb5ssI
