How many damaging poisons are rogues able to put onto their weapons ?

I remember hearing that rogues are only able to put one damaging poison on to their weapon and that the other damaging poision doesnt work if you already have one. Is that True and does that go for every damaging poison ? Also does it matter if I put the poison on mainhand or offhand ?
