Staying in Bear form while tanking

Is there anyway to to strictly stay in bear form while in combat. I fat fingered cat while tanking and got my self killed. I have done it before in dungeons but this was a raid. I’m sure no one else has had this problem because they play perfect. Maybe I just need a better key binding or take cat off my bars in raids. Any help would be great
