Can't get a new Hearthstone with the "Dark Portal" Hearthstone

Since I deleted the classic Hearthstone I cannot talk to an inn keeper to retrieve it. This is probably due to having the Dark Portal item, which I understand means I still have a hearthstone. I would however like to have the option of the classic hearth if I should choose it. It's really unfortunate that I can't retrieve the hearthstone I lost. I suppose this is just warning to those of you who bought the deluxe editions -- don't delete your hearthstone if you want to hearth the old way.
