Did Blizzard increase monster spawn rate compared to vanilla?

I had a few quests now where enemies respawn faster than I can kill them because there are just so many enemies in one small area and it basically requires me to go through all of them.The first that comes to mind is the Remtravel's Excavation in Darkshore and the second is the mine in Windshear Crag in Stonetalon Mountains.
