Classic Question about hunter pets-

I'm currently running a BM, void elf hunter. I got a few questions about the best petsFor PvE, I'm currently using Hati as my main pet, and (with the animal companion talent) the void elf starter pet, the Void Stalker. Is this a good set up for causal play, maybe a few mythic+ stuff here and there? And also, how good are snakes for PvE?
