Classic something has changed and i am confused

so i just started playing wow again after 8 years and my buddy who also just started playing again after some time is trying to run me through a dungeon but i am getting very small amounts of xp like 8 or so per kill and 25xp for a boss. my question is was this nerfed? via /r/wow https://ift.tt/2pyUonh
