Layering implementation: no player phasing

Blizz forums linkAfter watching many clips showing many problems/abuses of layering, this is my opinion:This is worse than servers merging. This is worse than an overcrowded launch. This is worse than no mobs in starting zones. This is worse than waiting in log queue for a week. This is worse than having no layer at all.The in-game player phasing breaks the immersion and creates more problems than what layering is trying to solve. Please Classic devs, don’t butcher the vanilla experience with player phasing for the sake of a “healthy launch” or “no dead server”.If you absolutely have to implement layering, at least make it happen WITHOUT player phasing and OUTSIDE the world. Let the player choose the layer. After clicking the “Enter World” button in the character screen, if there is currently more than 1 layer, then we could see a window pop-up that shows:Layer 1Layer 2Layer 3So we can simply choose which layer we want and find our friends in that respective layer. To remove most of the abuses of layer hopping, add an incremental timer after a log off that resets after a couple hours of no layer change.Of course I think no layering system would be better (#nochange) but I think this is an acceptable compromise. As long as there is NO PLAYER PHASING.
